While making a strawberry milkshake over the weekend with an intention of sharing it on my munch and makeup blog, I realised that I didn’t actually measure anything accurately! It still tasted delicious though. Here’s how I made it-
Tub of vanilla ice cream
Punnet of strawberries (with their tops removed)
Strawberry sauce (optional)
Method (1 or 2 glasses)-
1. Scoop about half a tub of ice cream into the blender (I used half a tub of carte d’or)
2. Pour in about half a glass of milk and whizz.
3. Add in some strawberries (I used 200g) and blend together.
4. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
You could also add in strawberry sauce to make the milkshake taste sweeter, however, I think it already tastes great without it.
Easy peasy and a perfect weekend treat!
My boyfriend and I decided to head down to London’s famous Borough Market on Saturday. Located between the Thames and Borough Highstreet, it was a foodie’s dream, the smell was so good and there was so much food to look (and nibble) at. There were loads of different foods to choose from all over the world, but there were also farmer’s market stalls from across the UK.
According to Borough Market’s website, the “clever shoppers get there before 10am” – we probably got there at the worse time, around 1pm when it was very crowded. However, the atmosphere was buzzing, everyone was taking photos and all the traders were friendly.
Here are a few of the many photos I took –
I picked up a free range chicken wrap with sweet chilli sauce to snack on and my boyfriend had a home made chicken burger. Yum!
Have you visited Borough market before? What did you think?
