I’ve previously blogged about Nars Outremer Eyeshadow and mentioned how it wasn’t as bright as I thought it would be. However, I’ve now tried it with a dampened brush and it certainly is electric! Here’s how it looked:
I do love the colour and it’s definitely less chalky with a damp brush, but I still find it hard to apply and think I need some more practice! Sometimes I worry that I look like a 5 year old let loose on the makeup counter!
I’m not a fan of the traditional English meal of meat, potato and veg (unless it’s a roast dinner with all the trimmings), which I may have mentioned on Munch and Makeup before, but my other half is, so I’ll try anything to make the meal taste interesting. We saw Colman’s Season & Shake advertised on TV and came across it in the supermarket, so thought we would give it a go.
The flavour we tried was ‘rustic chicken’ which had a light barbeque taste. The meal itself was easy peasy. We couldn’t get any green beans so replaced them with mushrooms, stuck them in the bag with the chopped up chicken, carrots and potatoes. Next we poured in some water, added the seasoning, tied it up and then came the shaking. So, the shaking wasn’t as vigorous as how the people did it on the adverts – it felt like we needed to shake it gently as it felt quite strange and delicate moving the food around in a bag. Then we just had to put it in the oven and wait….
The bag was hot hot HOT coming out the oven, so needed to be careful opening it up and serving it.
Overall, I was quite impressed. Mainly because it’s such an easy meal, yet quite healthy as well! I would definitely try the other flavours.
Here’s how it turned out:
